Aetna has announced that effective October 1st, 2010, they will no longer be offering the following plans for new business in Colorado:
First Dollar Managed Choice Open Access 25
Managed Choice Open Access 1000
Managed Choice Open Access 1500
First Dollar Managed Choice Open Access 750 With Medical $50K CYM
First Dollar Managed Choice Open Access 1500 With Medical $50K CYM
Preventive and Hospital Care 1250
Existing members can remain in their plan. However, if an existing memeber elects to move to a different plan effective October 1st, 2010, that member may need to be re-underwritten. Also, existing members who elect to change their individual plan will be issued a new policy and lose their “Grandfathered Status.” This means the new plan will be subject to the rules and regulations contained within the healthcare reform law.
